Workflow:

  • If you are interested in commissioning me, please fill out the application form on the FORM page.

  • If I accept your commission I will reply to your application within 5 days.

  • Payment must be completed before your slot is secured. I will not save a slot for you. If I have a waiting list, that list is for those waiting for their commission who already paid.

  • Completing a commission varies from commission to commission, but I try and finish them within 4-8 weeks. I apologize if I take longer, I will always respond to questions and updates regarding your commission.

  • I will send updates during the commission. Usually I send updates in this order: Rough sketch, sketch, lineart/flat colors, final shading. For Live 2D models I send in this order: Sketch of all parts, lineart/flat color of all parts, final shading of all parts. If you would like specific updates on a certain part during my workflow please inform me.

  • If you do not respond to the sketch within 14 days for approval, I will complete your commission without your response/approval and you cannot make any changes afterward. (I can't keep your commission sitting around waiting to be completed)

  • After receiving the updates, please feel free to ask for anything changed or edited. You are encouraged to provide feedback during the process to ensure the quality of the final work. Please don't ask for updates once the work is fully completed, as I will not change anything unless it's very small/easy to change.

  • To check the commission progress, you can contact me or visit my Trello.

  • During the commission process, minor revisions are free (but there is a certain threshold for the quantity of minor revisions). Major revisions before and after delivering the completed work are not free.

  • Major revisions can be any of the following: change of clothes, additional animations, additional expressions, change of more than 10% of the model's layers, etc.

  • The price for any addition to the illustration or model will be discussed.

Additional:

  • You must provide clear digital references of your character. Note, I may adjust some colors to fit to the theme of the drawing/commission.

  • I will not accept references described in text, you must provide a reference drawing as I am not designing your character for you.

  • I do accept custom characters, so if you would like to discuss prices and details I am up for discussing.

  • If you do not specify a pose or expression I will not change much after the sketch unless you provide me with detail. I have an imagination but if you don’t tell me what EXACTLY you want then complain I did it wrong then it makes it a bit difficult for me so please just tell me what you’d like or don’t expect me to get it perfect.

  • Characters and additional props with a lot of details have additional fee(s) depending on complexity.

  • I will not draw any hateful themes (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.)

Payment:

  • For vtuber models/character designs: 50% payment upfront and through invoice, then after the commission is completed 50% afterwards

  • For illustration commissions: Full payment upfront

  • I accept PayPal only (USD)

  • I will create and send you an invoice with the payment.

  • I do not accept refunds, all sales are final unless I cannot complete your commission by my own clause.

  • If you send a refund through a dispute on PayPal without contacting me about it first I will not accept any future commissions from you. I do not accept refunds and will fight on the PayPal dispute if necessary.

  • Payment must be sent within 7 days or I will cancel your commission.

  • If you would like to cancel in the beginning while discussing the commission I am okay with that <3

  • I do not start or accept a commission until the full payment is sent.

About Me

Hello, I'm Skyla (you may call me Sky or any cute nickname you can think of <3)I was born in 2003 and have been an aspiring artist nearly as long as I can remember haha. I started out as a Sonic artist for most of my years, and only recently started to draw anime related things. Around the age of 15 I started drawing humans, but when Covid hit I dropped drawing them for about 2 years so I became extremely rusty. I'm still trying to learn and also started to draw vtuber models!Someday I hope to be a popular artist possibly working for a big company or simply just being able to do freelance work. I currently do freelance for a living, but I don't make much atm (and that's okay!)My favorite things include video games, (such as Sonic, Zelda, Persona, League of Legends, Minecraft, Hades, Final Fantasy (need to play more games tbh) etc.) art (of course haha), watching anime and reading manga, (some favorites include Full Metal Alchemist, Blue Exorcist, Overlord, Charlotte, Violet Evergarden, Demon Slayer, Apothecary Diaries, Frieren, Chainsaw Man, Mob Psycho 100, etc.) and simply hanging out with friends. I don't do much other than draw or play video games with occasionally watching some anime if I have the time. Video games have always been apart of my life since my dad and brother practically forced me to play with them so I ended up just loving them.I got into Sonic because of the show "Sonic X," that was always on our no-cable TV on Saturday mornings at 8am. I can't even say how many times I've seen that entire show, and when I look back on it now it was very cringy haha. But I still love it and am pretty glad it got me into the Sonic series. Although it was a huge obsession, it brought me to meet many people, to continue drawing, and to make stories and characters with friends. I have a lot of good memories because of it. And now I'm drifting away from it a little bit, it will always be one of my favorite video game series.Aside from all of that, I'm your average awkward, anxious, nerdy girl that simply likes drawing and nerdy stuff lol. There's not a lot to my personality other than very socially awkward, anxious in majority of scenarios, and gets upset at video games as I'm a competitive person. I'm also not the smartest but when I start streaming that'll shine through haha.

F.A.Q

How long have you been drawing?
As I said previously, almost as long as I can remember. Which I think is around 3-4 years old since that's around the time I got into Sonic and really remember it. I remember wanting to become an artist from a really young age <3
Did you go to school for art or anything else?
Nope! I actually dropped out of high school during my senor year. Yeah a little stupid to do it when I was super close to graduating, but personally I've always struggled with school and just couldn't handle it anymore. And since I know my career doesn't necessarily need a degree (sometimes), I thought I could be okay. I plan on getting a GED at some point though.
What drawing tools do you use?
Currently I use an XP Pen Artist Pro 16 as my art tablet, or an iPad Pro (4th Gen) as my art tablet.
I use Clip Studio Paint as my program for both devices.
How long does it take to finish a piece?
Depends on the art I'm working on. Sonic art can take anywhere from 1-8 hours (depends if its a sketch, full drawing, painting, etc.) atm Humans/Anime art typically take 3-10 hours. My vtuber models (I've only made two as I'm writing this) take around 30-50 hours I'd say, depends on detail of model.
Do you do requests?
I do not as I do not have time for them. Although sometimes I like to add people to my "Vtubers I'd like to draw" list on Twitter, so if you see yourself on there (please don't ask for me to add you there) I may draw you randomly when I have free time <3
Do you have a commission waitlist?
If all of my commission slots are full, I do! And I'd contact you again once slots open up.
Can I draw your Vtuber or Characters?
Yes of course! I would be honored if you drew any of them, and if you need references don't be afraid to ask me!
